Patricia Mauer

Patricia L. Mauer, 85, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Pine Haven Covenant Home. Patricia was born on July 18, 1930 in Sheboygan to Albert and Genevieve (Hochrein) Altmeyer. Patricia was a 1948 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On June 18, 1949 she married Ralph Mauer at St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1990. Patricia devoted her life to staying at home to raise their four children and take care of the home. Patricia was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. For many years she did all the sewing for the school, church, and the priests. Patricia enjoyed quilting, embroidery, sewing and crafts. Patricia is survived by two daughters; Pam (Larry) Weber of Sheboygan Falls, and Julie (Gary) Van Cuyk of Kaukauna; two sons, Mike (Kathy) Mauer of Kiel and Chuck (Cheri) Mauer of Grafton; nine grandchildren, Becky (Doug) Eberhardt, Robert C. Weber, Kelsey Mauer, Ashlyn (fiancé Joe Lilek) Mauer, Ethan Van Cuyk, Lexi Van Cuyk, Jordyn Mauer, Jessica (Dan) Esteves and Ben Mauer; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Christopher Eberhardt and Oakley Weber; two sisters, Jeanne (Ronald) Daharsh of Sheboygan Falls and Susan (Harold) Comins of Sheboygan. Patricia is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Weas"; her parents; one grandson, Justin Mauer; one brother, James (Kaylene) Altmeyer; and brothers and sisters-in-law. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11am at Blessed Trinity Parish with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the church from 9am until the time of service at 11am. A memorial fund for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association are being established in Patricia's name. Richardson Community Hospice for all the patience, care and compassion that they gave to Patricia and also to her two sisters, Jeanne and Susan, for always being there for her.
