Orville G. (Bud) Huenink, 92, of Cedar Grove, WI died on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Pine Haven Covenant Home where he had resided for less than a year. Orville was born in Cedar Grove, the son of the late Benjamin and Alice (Wieberdink) Huenink. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1941 and later from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He served in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific. Orville was an electrical engineer for General Electric in Bloomington and Waukesha, WI prior to his retirement in 1985. He married his first wife Doris in Milwaukee, WI in 1951. She preceded him in death by 24 years. After Doris died, he married his second wife Gerdina in Cedar Grove in 1993. He is survived by his second wife, Gerdina of Park Rapids, MN; daughters, Cheryl (Oliver) Limberg and Patricia (Randy) Adams of Normal; son, David (Louise) Huenink of Cedar Grove; grandchildren, Dawn (Patrick) Forden and Heather (William) Miller; five great grandchildren; sister, Jurean Van Sluys of Cedar Grove; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Ten Haken of Cedar Grove and John Francis of Racine, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Orville was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris; sisters, Mary Ten Haken and Arlean (LaMont) Daane; brother-in-law Cornelius Van Sluys; and sister-in-law Carol Francis. He attended the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove. Orville was very active in Boy Scouts, as a member and then as Assistant Scoutmaster. He joined the Masonic Lodge in Cedar Grove, advanced to become the Worshipful Master, transferred to the Nathan Hale Lodge in Milwaukee and was a member of the Scottish Rite. Orville enjoyed spending time with his family, travel, golf, playing cards, bowling and carpentry. A memorial service celebrating Orville's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg, WI on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:30 am with the Rev. Justin Sembler officiating. Family and friends will begin gathering there at 10:30 am. A private family inurnment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
