Nellie L. Winker, formerly of Random Lake and Oostburg died on Saturday morning, August 1, 2015 at the Cedar Grove Gardens where she resided for the past eight years. Nellie was born on October 1, 1934 in the Town of Clyman, Dodge County, the daughter of Erhard and Mildred (Soldner) Indermuehle. She graduated from Juneau High School in 1952. On June 21, 1952 she married Archie Winker in Juneau. Archie preceded Nellie in death on June 29, 1988 following 36 years of marriage. Nellie and her husband owned a dairy farm in the Town of Fredonia for many years. She also worked at Archie's Place in Little Kohler, Kenro in Fredonia and Times Printing in Random Lake. Nellie was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Belgium. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, traveling, gardening, fishing, and NASCAR. Nellie also enjoyed reading National Geographic and studying Civil War history. She had a deep affection for children, especially abused children. Nellie is survived by one daughter, Mary (Gary) Schneider of Belgium; 8 sons, Mike (Judi) of Fredonia, Tom (Holly) of Belgium, Carl "Bugs" of Random Lake, Barry "Dewey" (Vicki) of Dallas, TX, Dan of Oklahoma, Joe "Whitey" (Lisa) of Cedar Grove, Bill (Cheryl) of Port Washington, and Robert (Tanya) Winker of Dallas, TX; 32 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Hodgson of Juneau and SuZanne (Clarence) Arndt of Juneau; one sister-in-law, Donna Winker of Beaver Dam; and two brothers-in-law, Earl (Karen) Winker of Watertown and Bill Wuesthoff of Beaver Dam. Nellie is also survived by nieces and nephews. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Archie; one grandaughter, Sarah Winker; and a sister, Maureen Indermuehle. A funeral to celebrate Nellie's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at Noon on Saturday, August 8, 2015 with the Rev. Wayne King officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin Union Cemetery in the Town of Farmington. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service at Noon.
