Nancy Kaye Meyer

Nancy Kaye Meyer, 69, of Gibbsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at her home. 

Nancy was born to Gerald and Lillian (Hesselink) Dykstra on May 16, 1955. She graduated from Oostburg High School in 1973. Nancy was united in marriage to James Meyer on June 23, 1973. 

Nancy worked at Bemis Manufacturing for over 30 years until her retirement. Nancy enjoyed sitting in the sun in her lawn chair, gambling, and shopping. She loved being with her grandchildren and watching wrestling meets. Nancy enjoyed baking, cooking, and diamond dot.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim; daughter, Jennifer (Tom) TeStroete; son, Nate (Kim DeSmith) Meyer; grandchildren, Dakota Meyer, Josh TeStroete, Abby TeStroete, Camryn Meyer, Makenzie Meyer, and Marley Meyer; mother, Lillian Dykstra; sisters, Joan (Wendell) Mentink, Gail (Ron) Arentsen, Sue (Ed) Nyenhuis; siblings-in-law Laurie Meyer, Phil (Julie) Meyer; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Dykstra; parents-in-law, Edward Sr. and Carolyn Meyer; brothers-in-law, Dale Meyer and Edward Meyer Jr.; and her furry companion, Nanook.

A memorial service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at Hingham Church on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 12:00pm. 

Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church from 10:00am until the time of service.

Memorials are appreciated in Nancy’s name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
