Myrlee M. TeRonde, 94, of Oostburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Morningside Health Center in Sheboygan. Myrlee was born on July 2, 1919, in Watertown, SD, daughter of John and Anna (Ihrke) Wendt. She graduated from high school in Watertown, SD and attended a business college in Minnesota. She volunteered with her church on an Indian Reservation in Arizona after graduation. On November 21, 1941, she married Edwin J. TeRonde in Milwaukee. Edwin passed away on November 22, 1989. Myrlee was employed in the business office at Samaritan Hospital in Milwaukee and a nursing home in Brown Deer. Myrlee was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg where she was active in the Women's Guild. Myrlee is survived by her daughter, Carla (David) Schrader of White Bear Lake, MN; her two sons, Robert (Joyce) TeRonde of Petersburg, IL and Donald TeRonde of Oostburg; two grandchildren, Matthew (Angie) Schrader and Merideth (Erik) Florentz; and five great-grandchildren. Myrlee was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edwin, and three sisters, Alta Hegstrom of Watertown, SD, Verna Tasler of Watertown, WI, and Erna of Kansas, and twin sister, Myrtle Wendt. A memorial service to celebrate Myrlee's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brian Jacobson officiating. A private family inurnment will take place in Oostburg Cemetery in the Town of Holland. A memorial fund has been established in Myrlee's name for First Presbyterian Church.
