Mitchell P. Strysick, 53, of N1859 Highway 32, Oostburg died unexpectedly at St. Nicholas Hospital on Monday afternoon, April 17, 2006. Mitchell was born on August 5, 1952 in Sheboygan, the son of the late Edwin M. Strysick and Virginia (Leonard) Strysick Handrow. Mitchell graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1970. On October 6, 1973 he married the former Peggy (Margaret) Reindl at St. George Catholic Church in the Town of Wilson. Mitchell was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls and formerly of St. George Catholic Church in the Town of Wilson. He was also a member of the NRA and the Sheboygan Pistol and Gun Club. He enjoyed judo and karate and was a 4-H shooting sports leader. Mitchell collected military memorabilia and attended gun and military shows. He enjoyed being with his family and is survived by his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Cindy Strysick and Suzy Strysick, both of Milwaukee; one son, Christopher (Nicole) Strysick of Cedar Grove; his mother, Viginia Handrow of Sheboygan; one brother, Todd (Edie) Strysick of Fond du Lac, one sister-in-law, Sue Strysick of Sheboygan; half-sister, Helena (John) Schleining of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Edwin; a brother, Keith Strysick; and his step father, Art Handrow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George Catholic Church in the Town of Wilson on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Eugene Neumann as celebrant. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday, from 4-7 PM and on Friday, at the church, from 10 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:30 AM.
