Mike W. Navis

Michael “Mike” W. Navis, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan. He was 54 years old. 

Mike, the son of Ronald and Darlene (Harmelink) Navis was born November 17, 1970 in Madison. He grew up in Sheboygan, graduating from South High School in 1990. 

Mike worked at Polar Ware before starting a 16-year career with Sheboygan’s Memorial Hospital and later, Aurora Medical Center. He was a dedicated employee who loved his job; he considered his co-workers his extended family. 

A man of few words, Mike loved to be around people, and wherever gatherings were happening. A familiar face who was well liked by all who knew him, Mike could often be seen walking throughout Sheboygan. An avid Green Bay Packer fan, he loved to collect his favorite items, and was known to be stubborn but always kind-hearted. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. 

Mike is survived by his parents Ron and Darlene Navis of Sheboygan Falls, sister Nicole Navis of Madison; brother Will (Amy) Navis of Coralville, IA; nephews Liam, Owen and Emerson. He is further survived by aunts and uncles: Mary Lou DuMez, Bonnie (Stan) Ramaker, Glenn (Luann) Harmelink, Jean Neerhof, Karen (Jim) Wilterdink and Dale Christenson; great-aunt Vivian Veldboom; many cousins, other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his uncles L. Don DuMez and Robert Neerhof, aunt Bonnie Christenson, and cousins Terry and Heidi Harmelink and Aaron Wilterdink. 

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls. All are welcome to view a livestream of the service on Mike’s obituary page at wenigfh.com . The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30AM until the time of service. 

He will be laid to rest at Hingham Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Sheboygan County Food Bank in Mike’s name.

Mike’s family would like to thank his extended work family, the Environmental Services Department at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, especially his boss Mike Clarke; your care and friendship were treasured by Mike and his family.
