Michael John Te Ronde, age 65, of Madison, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, after a long illness with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Sheboygan, Wisc. on July 10, 1952, the son of Gerald and Naomi (Koskamp) Te Ronde. Mike married Karen Bayuk, of Madison, on Sept. 19, 1992, in Madison. He graduated from South High School in Sheboygan, in June of 1970. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the University of Wisconsin Madison with degrees in Political Science, Public Policy and Administration, and Sociology. Mike worked for the State of Wisconsin for 27 years and retired in December of 2010. Mike loved to read, talk politics, research histories of the Titanic and old movie theaters, and collect Coca Cola memorabilia. One of his favorite pastimes was eating popcorn and ice cream, while watching old movies with his wife. Mike dedicated his life to serving the Lord and leading many to Christ. Mike is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Emily Bayuk; granddaughter, Melina Nguyen; sister-in-law Donna Bruning; nephews, Eric (Becky) Bruning, Scott (Jenny) Bruning, and Kevin Bruning; great nephews and nieces, Ella and Thomas Bruning, and Hannah and Ethan Bruning;and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Elaine Bayuk. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his infant sister. Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, with Pastor Dean Howell presiding. Private burial will be held at Oostburg Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Wisconsin Parkinson's Association and the Grace Baptist Church Reformers Unanimous.
