Mary J. Voskuil, 95, formerly of Cedar Grove, passed away on Friday morning, May 6, 2011 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. Mary was born on February 4, 1916 in the Village of Adell, daughter of Frederick and Mabel (Kamerling) Tempas. She graduated from Wisconsin Memorial Academy in 1933 and attended Sheboygan County Normal Teacher College and Sheboygan Business College. On March 20, 1936 she married Casper "Cap" J. Voskuil in Hingham. Cap preceded her in death on May 5, 1992. Mary was employed as Postmaster for the US Postal Service for 26 years until her retirement in 1978. Mary was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She was active in the Friends of the Cedar Grove Library and Senior Citizen group. Mary enjoyed reading and playing cards. Mary is survived by three sons, Rich (Marilyn) Voskuil of Plano, TX, John (Muriel) Voskuil of Toronto, Canada and Joseph (Kathy) Voskuil of Janesville; one daughter-in-law, Laurie Voskuil of Holland, MI; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Bufford, Caryn, Elise (Mike) Meadows, Rebecca (Mark) Clemones, Joel (Wendy) Voskuil, Jamie (Susan Arthur) Voskuil, Noel (Michael) Troller, Michael (Karen D'Alessio) Voskuil, Matthew (Gayle) Voskuil, Charles, Tim (Stacie) Voskuil, Adam, Leah and Christian Voskuil; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Burton (Milly) Tempas of Prairie Crossing and Robert (Helen) Tempas of San Mateo, CA; one sister, Betty Buehler of Plymouth; two sisters-in-law, Avis Tempas of Scottsdale, AZ and Josephine Ellarson of Cedar Grove; one brother-in-law, Mark (Joyce) Voskuil of Cedar Grove. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Cap, her son Steven Voskuil and two brothers, Ned and Walter Tempas. Funeral services to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Interment will take place in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
