Marlys J. Hilbelink, 76, of W2948 County Road OO, Sheboygan Falls (Gibbsville) died peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 31, 2007 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center where she had been a patient for the past week. Marlys was born on June 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Clarence and Alyce (Schreurs) Heinen. She attended Beaver Creek School. On June 7, 1957 she married Donald G. Hilbelink in Gibbsville. Don and Marlys observed their 50th Wedding Anniversary in June. Marlys was a lifelong member of Gibbsville Reformed Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, puzzles, cooking, baking, canning, and freezing. She is survived by her husband, Donald; five daughters, Diane (Leon) Hartman of Newton, Deborah (Doug) TenHaken of Oostburg, Darlene (Wayne) Meives of Sheboygan Falls, Denise (Jeff) Aschenbach of Plymouth, Donna (Steve) Wilinski of Pulaski; one son, Dean E. Hilbelink of Oostburg; 14 grandchildren, Adam, Nathan and Jason Hartman, Ashley (Zac) Freriks, Rebecca and Jessica McCabe, Matthew TenHaken, Dustin and Dakota Meives, Noah Aschenbach, Caleb and Hannah Wilinski, Chance and Anthony Hilbelink; two great grandchildren Hailey and Wyatt; three sisters, Phyllis Ledeboer of Gibbsville, A. Joan Heinen of Cedar Grove, and Vonnie (John) VanWyk of Oostburg; two brothers, Wesley (Jeannette) Heinen of Oostburg and Ralph (Marian) Heinen of Cedar Grove; and an aunt, Eunice Lammers of Hingham. Marlys is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Marlys was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Wendy Hilbelink. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Gibbsville Reformed Church with the Rev. Gerald Dykstra officiating. A family service will precede at 10:15 a.m. in the choir room. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday from 3-8 pm, and on Friday, at church, from 9:30 am until the time of service.
