Marion Wunsch

Marion Ruth Wunsch, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Pine Haven Christian Home. Marion was born on January 21, 1924, daughter of Walter and Marie (Wallschlaeger) Ochs. She grew up in the Town of Herman, graduating from Howards Grove High School in 1942. On June 10, 1944, she married Alfred Wunsch at her home. The couple spent their entire working lives farming in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. Marion was a member of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Together with Alfred they started the "VIL", Very Important Lutheran. Marion was a member of the Homemakers Club. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, and loved her family. Marion will be remembered for her kind-heartedness and generosity. Marion is survived by one son, Roger Wunsch of Sheboygan Falls; one daughter, Charlotte (Michael) Lehman of Jefferson, WI; two grandchildren, Robert Lehman of Fort Atkinson and Richard (Amy) Lehman of Muskego; two great-grandsons, Brady and Bennett Lehman of Muskego; one sister, Margaret (Wallace) Born of Howards Grove; nephews, John (Sue) Born of Town of Herman, David and Daniel Born, both of Howards Grove; and a niece, Elizabeth (David) Haag of Plymouth. Marion is also survived by a grand-nephew, Bradley of Howards Grove and a grand-niece, Melissa of Town of Herman, and her special neighbors, Rohde's, Thomas', and Rotter's. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Alfred in 2002, her infant son, Allan in 1950, and an infant great-granddaughter, Miyah in 2006. Funeral services to celebrate Marion's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan with Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Marion's name for the National Federation for the Blind or Wisconsin Council for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
