Marion Jean (Prinsen) Mullikin, 89, of Hingham, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was born on October 5, 1933, to the late Garrett and Jeanette Prinsen. She attended Gibbsville Grade School and graduated from Oostburg High School. In October of 1952 Marion married Wesley Hilbelink. Together they raised a family of 5 children. One of her sorrows was losing their daughter, Vonnie, at the age of 14 and losing her husband at the age of 55 to cancer. Wesley proceeded her in death in April of 1988. On October 20, 1989, she married Virgil G. Mullikin. Together they enjoyed their retirement years taking many trips throughout the world. Virgil proceeded her in death on January 22, 2023.
Marion had many secretarial/bookkeeping jobs which included Larson Canning Company, Man Power, DeBlaey Excavating and Mullikin Construction. She had the gift of coordinating projects at Oostburg Christian which included Turkey Suppers, Soup Suppers and catering. She oversaw the Campus Life Sharing dinners for many years. She provided fresh baked cookies for the annual Hingham Cemetery Clean Up day.
Marion spent many hours working in her garden. She was proud of her vegetables and was always getting rid of the weeds. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, family genealogies, and making puzzles.
Marion is survived by her children: Jane (Charles) Zimmermann, Joan Perusek, Daniel (Laural) Hilbelink, Rachel (James) Calvert. Grandchildren: Jackie Zimmermann, Nathan (Alison) Zimmermann, Andrew (Rachel) Zimmermann, Jamie (Nathan) Fikkert, Brian (Jennifer) Ramaker, Kevin (Emily Catechis) Ramaker, Christopher (Maggie) Hilbelink, Jason (Amanda) Hilbelink, Abigail Berry, Emily (Chris) Chenot, Kyle Calvert, Kory Calvert. Great-grandchildren:
Elliana, Kinsley, and Josie Zimmermann, Wesley Zimmermann, Micah, Lydia, Jonah, and Aaron Fikkert, Adalynne and Roman Ramaker, Kaleb, Kailey, and Wesley Ramaker, Wesley, Charlotte and Everett Hilbelink, baby boy Hilbelink, and Lily Chenot.
Marion is also survived by her stepchildren: Cindy (Jay) Vander Weele, David (Joan) Mullikin, Dean (Maureen) Mullikin, and Daniel (Shelly) Mullikin. Step grandchildren: Vanessa and Jared Vander Weele, Courtney (Jaymon) Stalter, Stacey (Jon) Ter Maat, Alex (Cheyenne) Mullikin, Morgan (Andy) Crivellone, Melanie (fiancé Jim Krueger) Mullikin, Jake Mullikin, Sam Mullikin, Cody (Katelyn) Mullikin, Jessica (Dylan) Heimerl, Brett (fiancé Brittany Teunissen) Mullikin.
Step great grandchildren: Tripp and Finn Stalter, Knoxton and Weston Ter Maat, Evalynn Mullikin, Wade and Zane Crivellone.
Marion is preceeded in death by her husband, Wesley Hilbelink, daughter LaVonne Hilbelink, second husband Virgil Mullikin and step grandson Taylor Vander Weele.
Funeral service for Marion will be held at Hingham Reformed Church on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 12:00 pm.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Sunday, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm, and again on Monday at Hingham Church from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Private burial will take place at Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Marion’s name for Campus Life of Sheboygan County or Oostburg Christian School.
