Marion LeMahieu

Marion D. LeMahieu, 88, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday morning, September 16, 2013, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Marion was born on January 28, 1925, in Sheboygan, daughter of Gottlieb and Amalia (Meser) Welsch. She was a 1943 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. Marion married Eugene D. LeMahieu on April 15, 1944 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Eugene preceded her in death on May 21, 2001. Marion was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she was an active member and volunteer. She was president of the Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry for the past 12 years. Marion was an accomplished singer and used to sing on WHBL in her younger years. She enjoyed raising roses and feeding the birds. Marion is survived by two sons, Dennis LeMahieu of Brown Deer and David LeMahieu of Sun Prairie; five grandchildren, Michelle Schillingowski of Sheboygan, Christina (John Fleming) LeMahieu of Miami Beach, FL, Stephanie LeMahieu of Sun Prairie, LCPI Daniel LeMahieu of San Diego, and Carrie LeMahieu of Madison; three great-granddaughters, Miranda, Alexis, and Nahkia; one sister Delores Gottsacker of Sheboygan; one brother-in-law, Elroy Begalke; two nieces, Nancy and Dawn; and other family and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Eugene, her daughter, Connie LeMahieu, and her sister, Betty Begalke. Funeral services to celebrate Marion's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Burial will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at Church from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am.
