Marion Konings

Marion "Mickey" C. Konings, 84, of Sheboygan Falls and formerly of Oostburg, passed away on Monday morning, September 29, 2014, at Pine Haven Covenant Home. Marion was born on January 9, 1930, in the Town of Holland, daughter of John and Henrietta "Annie" (Heuver) Konings. She was a 1947 graduate of Cedar Grove High School. Marion was a clerical employee of R-Way Furniture Co. and Grube Pharmacy in Sheboygan. Marion was a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and on the Calvary Bible League. She had a love of music and sang in a family trio and quartet, as well as the choir. She also enjoyed word games. Marion is survived by cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Jean and Evelyn Konings, and her two brothers, Allan and Gerald Konings. Funeral services to celebrate Marion's life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Pastor Willie Gesch officiating. Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1, from 10am until the time of service at 11am.
