Marion L. Bruggink, 88, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at her home. Marion was born on June 6, 1928 in Polar, WI to Albert and Lena (Roelse) Rusch. Marion was a 1946 graduate of Cedar Grove High School. On June 25, 1948, she married Dale W. Bruggink in Cedar Grove. Dale passed away on June 7, 1998. Throughout her life Marion worked at the canning factory, Memorial Hospital, Musebeck Shoe Factory, Claerbout Sweet Shop and then spent over 30 years as a secretary for the Cedar Grove School District. Marion was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove where she served in the Ladies Aide and was a church choir member. Marion volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Bank, Cedar Grove Library, Pine Haven Store, Campus Life Food Pantry. Marion enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with friends. Her true passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marion is survived by her daughter, Beth DeMaster of Cedar Grove; her son, Timothy (Kathi) Bruggink of Cedar Grove; four grandchildren, Todd (Nicki) Bruggink, Amy (Andy) Langland, Nathan (Rachel) DeMaster and Kristen (Adrian) Beymer; ten great grandchildren, Mason, Grady, Hadley, Natalie, Harper, Caiden, Peyton, Sawyer, Kiera and Valerie; one brother, Ralph Rusch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delores, Lowell and Marion, Neil and Carolyn Bruggink. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, Dale; her son-in-law, James DeMaster; her grandson, Eric DeMaster; one brother, Kenneth Rusch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vivian Bartelt, Herbert (Eunice) Bartelt, Barbara Rusch, Keith Bruggink and Wendell Bruggink. Funeral services to celebrate Marion's life will be held at 11am on Friday, June 17, 2016 at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Al Schut officiating. A private family graveside service will take place prior to the funeral service. Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Friday, June 17, 2016 starting at 10:15am until the time of service at 11am.
