Marie Wilterdink

Marie H. Wilterdink, 89, of Oostburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Pine Haven Residential Home in Sheboygan Falls. Marie was born on February 4, 1921, in Oostburg, daughter of John and Ella (Jensema) Brasser. She attended Gibbsville Grade School. On October 9, 1946 she married Lloyd Wilterdink in Hingham. Lloyd preceded her in death in 1982. Marie was employed with Meusbeck Shoe Company for six years. Marie was a member of First Reformed in Oostburg and a former member of Hingham Reformed Church for 50 years. She was active with the Oostburg and Hingham Women's Missionary Society, the Oostburg Senior Citizens and the Hingham Legion Auxiliary. Marie enjoyed her family, gardening and playing cards Marie is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Michael) Foley of Sheboygan and Doris (Thomas) Dann of Sheboygan; two sons, Dale (Zella) Wilterdink of Oostburg and Carl (Connie) Wilterdink of Hingham; eight grandchildren, Patrick (Kim) Foley, Jeanna (Rick) Woods, Dan (Tara) Wilterdink, Kerry (David) Ashe, Joelle (Noah) Rechtfertig, Jill (Dan) Shaver, Sara (Dan) Ten Pas, Rachel (Keven) Sprehe; 21 great-grandchildren; Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her parents, her son Robert Wilterdink, and great-grandson Ethan Sprehe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm at First Reformed Church in Oostburg with the Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday at 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Marie's name. Mother enjoyed her nine month stay at Pine Haven Residential Home.
