Marie Dickmann, 99, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. Marie was born on August 26, 1914, in Milan, WI, daughter of Henry and Florence (Giese) Glock. She attended elementary school in Milan and then attended Kiel High School. On September 3, 1936, she married Raymond Meinert in Chilton, he passed away on July 27, 1963. While they were married she worked as a switchboard operator for 14 years in Chilton and Plymouth. On April 16, 1966, she married Milton Dickmann at Saron UCC in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. Shortly after they were married, Marie retired from the phone company and stayed home to take care of him and their home in Sheboygan Falls. Milton passed away on June 3, 1985. Marie was a longtime member of Saron UCC and the VFW Auxiliary in Chilton. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, telling jokes and meeting new people. Marie also enjoyed bowling and being on a bowling league until the age of 97, a good game of sheepshead, playing the organ and spending time with her family and friends. Marie is survived by one son-in-law, Gerald Voss of Cleveland; five step-grandchildren, Luanne (Steve) Kestell, Sandra (Mark) Arnhoelter, Jack (Michelle) Voss, Shirley Voss, Russell (Laura) Voss; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, her parents, her step-daughter, Grace Voss, her sister Carmen, her brother Richard, and three step-sisters. A funeral service to celebrate Marie's life will be held at Saron UCC in Sheboygan Falls, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 1:00pm, with Rev. Bill Wineke officiating. Burial will be at the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church Wednesday, from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Marie's name to Saron UCC.
