Marian L. Heinen, 83, of Cedar Grove, passed away early on Friday morning, November 19, 2010 at Cedar Grove Gardens. Marian was born on January 8, 1927 in Cedar Grove, daughter of the late Harold and Hattie (TerMaat) DeMaster. She was a 1945 graduate of Cedar Grove High School. On June 22, 1963 she married Ralph C. Heinen. Marian was employed as a teller with Norwest Bank for 20 years until her retirement in 1983. Marian was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. She was a Cedar Grove School Library volunteer and a Holland Fest committee member. Marian enjoyed needlepoint, reading, sewing and her grandchildren. Marian is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ralph; one daughter, Rosemary (Tim) Mentink of Cedar Grove; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Alyssa Mentink; one sister, Jean Mentink of Oostburg; one brother, Dale (Alice) DeMaster of Cedar Grove; four sisters-in-law, Virg DeMaster of Oostburg, Phyllis Ledeboer of Oostburg, A. Joan Heinen of Cedar Grove, Vonnie (John) VanWyk of Gibbsville; two brothers-in-law, Wesley (Jeanette) Heinen of Oostburg and Donald Hilbelink of Gibbsville. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Elizabeth DeMaster; her brother, Russell DeMaster; and a sister-in-law, Marlys Hilbelink. A celebration of Marian's life will take place at the funeral service to be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 1:30 pm at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4-8 pm, and on Monday from 12:30 until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Marian's name for the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove.
