Margaret Marie Halbach, 78, of Sheboygan, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.Marge was born on March 4, 1940, in Lewistown, Montana to Charles and Edith (Coffman) Whitcraft. She was a graduate of Simms High School. On August 28, 1981, Marge married Claude "Mike" S. Halbach Jr. in Oostburg. Marge was employed at Sheboygan County Court House for 29 years as secretary to the Clerk of Courts until her retirement in 2002.Marge was a member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan where she was active in Bible study and various prayer groups. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sheboygan County Association for Home and Community, Pine Haven Women's Auxiliary, and the Sheboygan County Quilters Guild where she received many awards for her hand-stitched quilts. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her dear family.Marge is survived by six children, Michael (Jennifer) Gile, Timothy (Glynn) Gile, Gregory Gile, Cheryl (Ron) Werner, Bradley (Kateri) Gile, and Scott (Sara) Farr; step-children, Brenda Lee Sunquist; Daniel (Sherrie) Halbach, Randy (Patty) Halbach, Jeffrey (Robin) Halbach, Rodney Halbach (Kathy), Wayne (Tammy) Halbach; 37 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Loretta Lukkasson, Lila (Frank) King, Marilyn Prichard; three brothers, Ron (Sue) Erickson, Elmer (Jan) Whitcraft, and Edward (Sherrie) Whitcraft; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Whitcraft.Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Halbach; daughter, Shelly Gile; parents, Clarence & Edith Erickson; father, Charles Whitcraft; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Gile, Crystal Gile; brother, Frank Whitcraft; and a brother-in-law, Bill Prichard. Marge is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service to celebrate Marge's life will be held at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian De Jong officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m.A memorial fund is being established in her name for Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
