Margaret "Mollie" A. TenHaken, 94, of Oostburg, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Pine Have Christian Home in Oostburg. Mollie was born on August 13, 1916 in Waldo, daughter of Peter and Gladys (Pierce) VanEss. She attended Hingham Grade School and Waldo High School. On December 29, 1939 she married Eugene TenHaken in the Town of Lyndon. Eugene preceded her in death on September 6, 2003. Mollie dabbled in a host of odd jobs while her children were young such as painting, wallpapering, mink ranching, school bus driving and being a clerk at the grocery store. She later owned and operated Mollie's Floral for 18 years and opened Mollie's Knit and Stitch for five years. Mollie was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg where she was active in the choir and the Ladies Group. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, knitting, needlecraft, traveling and playing cards. Mollie is survived by one daughter, Donna (James) LeMahieu of Oostburg; one son, Roger TenHaken of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Scott (Dawn) LeMahieu, Lynn (Shane) Shaarda, Brian (Susan) LeMahieu and Kevin (Michelle) LeMahieu, Mike (Becky) TenHaken; 11 great-grandchildren, Ashley and Justin LeMahieu, Nicholas, Zachary and Joshua Shaarda, Derrek and Marcus LeMahieu, Kaitlyn and Brandon LeMahieu and Sawyer and Marek TenHaken; one sister, Dolores Wentzel of Wauwatosa, and one brother-in-law, Harold "Pee-Wee" TenHaken of Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls. Mollie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene and one brother-in-law Marvin Wentzel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 10:30 am at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg with the Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and also at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 until the time of the service at 10:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Mollie's name for First Reformed Church and Pine Haven Christian Communities.
