Margaret D. Van Stelle, 83, of Oostburg died on Friday evening, November 23, 2007 at Meadowview Manor where she had resided since March. Margaret was born on May 19, 1924 in the Town of Lima, the daughter of the late John and Jacoba (Hoftiezer) Rauwerdink. Margaret attended Oostburg High School. On August 15, 1941 she married the late David Van Stelle in the Town of Lima. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1983. Margaret worked at the Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls from 1952-62 and the Gilson Mfg. in Plymouth for 18 years before her retirement in 1984. Margaret was a member of the Gibbsville Reformed Church, and founding member of the Old Timers Pony Club and Beaver Creek Saddle Club. She had a special love for horses and enjoyed bird watching, reading, cooking and baking. Margaret cherished any time she could spend with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Jay) Pakkebier of Sheboygan; one son, Larry (Diane) Van Stelle of Oostburg; six grandchildren, David (Dawn) Pakkebier, Curtiss (Lisa) Pakkebier, Monica (Andy) Bonestroo, Peter (Pam) Van Stelle, Tracy Van Stelle, and Cheri (Chad) Wisse; 11 great grandchildren, Bailea, Matthew, Reid, and Cade Pakkebier, Libby Bonestroo, Amanda, Amber, Allison, Abigail Van Stelle, Brady and Brynn Wisse; a step sister, Bernice (Clarence) Huibregtse of Oostburg; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Harriet Dulmes and Phyllis Dulmes; an infant brother; and three step brothers, Harold, Ernest, and Rueben Onnink. Funeral services will be held at the Gibbsville Reformed Church at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 with Rev Gerald A. Dykstra officiating. A family service will precede in the choir room at 10:15 am. Burial will follow at Hingham Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday from 4-8 pm, and on Tuesday, at church, from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
