Margaret Hilbelink, 91, of Sheboygan Falls and formerly of Oostburg, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Pine Haven Christian Home. Margaret was born on February 14, 1923, in Sheboygan, daughter of Matthew and Dena (Leys) Dekker. She was a 1941 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. Margaret worked several years as a bookkeeper at the Vollrath Company and she also worked for the Larsen Canning Company. On May 11, 1951, she married Gordon J. Hilbelink in Sheboygan. Gordon passed away on November 11, 2011. Margaret was a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove, where she was a member of the Dorcas Society. She was a member of the Radio Choir at First Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan. Margaret enjoyed traveling, gardening, bus trips, and the Milwaukee Brewers. She will be remembered as a devoted housewife for her seven children and her husband. Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Judy Hilbelink of Oostburg, Laura (Douglas) Oleinik of West Allis, and Susan (Fred) Lofton of Cameron Park, CA; her three sons, Neal (Tina) Hilbelink of Manitowoc, Randy (Judy) Hilbelink of Orange City, IA, and Roy (Cheryl) Hilbelink of Greenbush; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Tenpas of Oostburg; two brothers, Martin Dekker and Ted Dekker, both of Sheboygan; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ellsworth Hilbelink of Cedar Grove, Marion (Virgil) Mullikan of Hingham, Ernest (Betty) Hilbelink of Random Lake, and Elvira (Kenneth) Janke of Sheboygan; and one daughter-in-law, Susana Hilbelink of Laredo, TX. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gordon, her son, Dale Hilbelink, two sisters, Maude (Gordon) Heinen and Catherine (Rudy) Huizenga, two brothers, Peter (Elsie) Dekker and Danker (Martha) Dekker, three sisters-in-law, Crystal (Ted) Dekker , Harriet (Martin) Dekker and Marjorie Hilbelink, and two brothers-in-law, Harold TenPas and Wesley Hilbelink. Funeral services to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at 11am on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove with Rev. Mark Hilbelink and Rev. Willie Gesch officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 4-8pm and again Friday, November 14, 2014 at the CHURCH from 10am until the time of service at 11am. A memorial fund has been established in Margaret's name for Pine Haven Christian Home.
