Marcelle FitzMaurice

Marcelle K. "Marcy" FitzMaurice, 52, of Oostburg died on Thursday morning, September 8, 2011 at Columbia St Mary Hospital in Mequon where she had been a patient for the past week. Marcy was born on August 29, 1959 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Richard and Martha (Davey) Schuster. She graduated from Argo Community High School in Summit, IL She then furthered her studies at Moraine College and the Art Institute of Chicago. On September 1, 1979, she married Gregory FitzMaurice in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Marcy was an ophthalmic technician at Premier Vision in Mequon for the past four years. Previously she worked in the vision department at Aurora Sheboygan Clinic for many years. Marcy loved being with her family and friends. She had a spirit full of vitality. The happiness of her husband and children, Jillian and Adam, were at the forefront of her life every day. She was a great companion to her husband and brought him so much joy. Marcy enjoyed all of nature, but in particular, birds, butterflies, her dog, Boo; and even the cat, Charlie. She loved taking photographs of EVERYTHING. Not one experience with Marcy was ever left undocumented, especially the many trips she had taken all over the world including most recently Mexico, Ireland, Netherlands, and several places all over the United States. Marcy also loved reading and cooking dinner for her family. Marcy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Greg of Oostburg; a daughter, Jillian FitzMaurice of Milwaukee; a son, Adam FitzMaurice of Oostburg; one brother, Nick Schuster of Florida; a dear aunt, Mary Lou DeWeirdt of Wheaton, IL; her parents-in-law, Thomas and Ann FitzMaurice of Dunwoody, GA; ten brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and special friends, Randy and Sandy Havel of Burbank, IL and Michael and Sharon Zygmunt of Lombard, IL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A celebration of Marcy's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 6pm. Friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 3 pm until the time of the service at 6 pm.
