Lucille M. (Boeckmann) Steffen, 92, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Pine Haven Residential in Sheboygan Falls. Lucille was born on June 3, 1919 in the Town of Lyndon, daughter of John and Emma (Schuldt) Boeckmann. She was a 1937 graduate of Plymouth High School. On June 1, 1946 she married Arthur E. Steffen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Edward Albertin officiating. Lucille lived most of her life in Sheboygan Falls. She was employed with Polar Ware, R-Way Furniture and Sears, retiring in 1982. Lucille was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She took part in the 4-H program, Elderhostel, the Sheboygan Falls Garden Club and attending and planning her class reunions. Lucille enjoyed her family, friends, traveling, gardening and her flowers and showed great interest in the Sheboygan County Fair. Lucille is survived by three daughters, Linda M. Steffen of Kenosha, Karen E. Sprenger of Olathe, KS and Janet A. (Bruce) Cisler of Menomonee Falls; one grandson, Eric Cisler; nephew, Vernon Boeckmann of Plymouth; and brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Delores Strains of Mesa, AZ and Roy and LaVerne Schlieder of Sheboygan. Lucille is also survived by many more nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her parents and her two brothers Tony and Arthur and sister Lydia Boeckmann A funeral service to celebrate Lucille's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Interment will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery, where she will join her husband. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 11:30 until time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Lucille's name for St. Paul Lutheran Church and Pine Haven Christian Home.
