Lucile Schuette

Lucile L. Schuette, 93, of Hingham, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, at home. Lucile was born June 19, 1918 to John and Viola (Pfister) Dietz in Sheboygan. She attended Trinity Lutheran Elementary School and Central High School in Sheboygan. On March 6, 1938, Lucile married Walter Schuette in Sheboygan. Together they owned and operated Dairyland Ice Cream in Sheboygan. Lucile worked as an office manager for JCPenney for 19 years, retiring in 1981. Lucile was a confirmed member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Lucile's greatest joy in life was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved traveling to Florida and Hawaii. Lucile enjoyed reading, crocheting, bowling, and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. Lucile is survived by: two daughters, Carol Quasius of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Darlene (Jerry) Heinen of Hingham; three grandchildren, Leslie Quasius Taphouse of Takoma Park, MD, Lori (Mitch) TenDolle of Hingham, Jeff (Kim) Heinen of Oostburg; nine great-grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, Sarah Hannon of Poolesville, MD, Emily, Christopher, Lauren TenDolle of Hingham, Luke, Olivia, Noah Heinen of Oostburg; one brother, Mel Dietz of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lucile was preceded in death by her: parents; one grandson, Mark Quasius; one sister, Gladys Dietz; one brother, Donald Dietz. Funeral services to celebrate Lucile's life will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Rev. Dr. Les Kuiper officiating. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg and one hour prior to the service Thursday. A memorial fund has been established in Lucile's name for the Special Olympics, Sheboygan Chapter.
