Lorraine Warren

Lorraine Lindley (Nys) Warren, age 101, of Sheboygan and formerly of Green Bay, passed away on Saturday afternoon, September 9, 2017 at the Sheboygan Senior Community where she had lived since August 2015. Lorraine was born on December 14, 1915 in Green Bay, the daughter of Albert and Wilhelmina "Minnie"(Lindley) Nys. She was a 1932 graduate of Green Bay East High School.  Prior to becoming a devoted mother and homemaker, Lorraine worked at the Green Bay Packer Offices, worked for physicians in the Green Bay area, and was Credit Bureau Manager at the Association of Commerce, Green Bay. She married Hurd "Bud" Comstock Warren on March 27, 1943 in Green Bay.  Hurd "Bud" preceded Lorraine in death on April 22, 1990 following 47 years of marriage. Lorraine was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Green Bay.  She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross and enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, and the Green Bay Packers. She had a love for animals especially her pet dogs. Some of Lorraine's great joys were her fond memories of summer's spent at the family cottage at Point Comfort on the Bay of Green Bay and enjoyed time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edgar and Linda Warren of Sheboygan Falls; two grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) Moore of Whitefish Bay and Curtis (Stephanie) Warren of Sheboygan; three great grandchildren, Henry and Ava Moore, and Aria Warren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Hurd; and a twin sister, Lenore Nys. A private family celebration of Lorraine's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay. A memorial fund is being established in her memory for the American Red Cross or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Lorraine's family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community, especially Chris and Linda for their compassionate care.
