Lorraine Ruyter

Lorraine E. De Ruyter, 81, of Plymouth, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Lorraine was born May 27, 1929 in Mayville, WI to Ervin and Amanda (Dobberphul) Beck. She attended Sheboygan Falls Elementary School. On September 2, 1961 she married Lyle De Ruyter at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Lorraine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Lorraine and Lyle enjoyed several vacations out West together. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, bird watching, card playing, and shopping and lunches with her sisters. Lorraine is survived by her: husband Lyle; three sons from a previous marriage, David Kurtz of Manitowoc, Roger Kurtz of Nashville, TN, Rick Kurtz of Sheboygan; one granddaughter, Sadie Marquardt of Denver, CO; three sisters, Verona (Elmer) Karstaedt of New Holstein, Shirley Robek of Sheboygan, Diane (friend Richard Hartmann) Andersen of Sheboygan; five brothers, Martin Beck of Oshkosh, Larry (Carol) Beck of Sheboygan, Melvin Beck of Sheboygan, Jim (Jean) Beck of New Holstein, Ronald Beck of Milwaukee; one sister-in-law, Barbara Gottschalk of Sheboygan; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her: parents; three sisters; three brothers. Funeral services for Lorraine will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Interment will be Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established in Lorraine's name.
