Loraine TeLindert

April 28, 1932 — January 23, 2022

Oostburg

Loraine G. TeLindert, 89, of Oostburg, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.

Loraine was born on April 28, 1932, to Harvey and Anna (Kruizenga) Back. She was a 1950 graduate of Oostburg High School.

Loraine was united in marriage to Paul “Buck” TeLindert at Gibbsville Reformed Church on December 21, 1951. Paul and Loraine were blessed with 64 years of marriage. She worked at Oostburg Canning Co. where she met her husband. She was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom as they raised their family. She later worked for the Oostburg School District as a custodian.

Loraine had fond memories of growing up on a farm in Gibbsville and always liked animals. She was a faithful member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Prayer Circle and of a Bible Study for many years. In later years she was more devoted to sharing salvation through Jesus. Loraine also served with the Women’s Auxiliary for the Hartman-Lammers Post #286.

Loraine enjoyed summer sunshine, gardening, tending her flowers, time at the lake and especially bicycling with friends and family. Some of her favorite times included travels with her husband, Paul, to 48 states and taking the whole family to New York for a day. She hosted many family dinners, and cherished time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She was caring and kind to others and had many friendships which were further enjoyed at class reunions.

She is survived by two sons Glen (Gloria) TeLindert and Mark (Ruth) TeLindert; one daughter, Joan (Brian) Hilbelink; six grandchildren, David (Macrae Husting) TeLindert, Greg (Jennifer) TeLindert, Nancy (Jeremy) Huenink, Diane (Brett) Navis, Renee (Scott) Mitchell, and Nicholas (Kathleen) Hilbelink; twelve great-grandchildren Justin, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Dylan, Henry, Remington, Sullivan, Nora, Sydney, Madeline and Abigail; brother-in-law, Ivan (Ann) TeLindert. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, parents, parents-in-law, brother, Randall (Marion) Back.
