Lois Seger

Lois H. Seger, 86, of Suffield, CT, formerly of Sheboygan, beloved wife of the late Robert F. Seger, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Lois was born on November 25, 1926, in Oostburg, daughter of the late Harold and Lena (TeSelle) Bruggink. She lived in Sheboygan, Minneapolis, MN, West Branch and Tipton, IA, before moving to Suffield in 2009, to be closer to her family. She worked as secretary at the University of Iowa, College of Nursing for many years before her retirement. Lois was a lifelong member of Gibbsbville Reformed Church and attended Truth Baptist Church in South Windsor, CT. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a NARFE member as well as a republican delegate for President Ronald Reagan. Lois enjoyed oil painting during her free time. Lois is survived by her three sons, Robert L. Seger of Suffield, CT, Randolph J. Seger and his wife Malinda of Spring, TX, and Jeffrey P. Seger of East Granby, CT; her daughter, Laura Bub and her husband David of East Granby, CT; her sister, Elaine Richardson of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren, Matthew Bub and his wife, Elizabeth, Russell Bub, Dana Seger, and Richard and Erich Seger; one great-grandson; and her sister-in-law, Judy Bruggink of Menasha. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Owen Bruggink. A memorial service to celebrate Lois' life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Gibbsville Reformed Church with Rev. John Ornee officiating. Inurnment will take place in Gibbsville Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in Lois' name for Gibbsville Reformed Church.
