Lois Meeusen

Lois J. Meeusen, 84, of Cedar Grove, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Lois was born March 1, 1927 in Sheboygan County to Dirk and Grace (Duenk) Huenink. On May 16, 1947 she married Roger Meeusen in Cedar Grove. Roger passed away February 8, 1992. Lois worked at Musebuck Shoe Company for many years. Lois was a member of the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove where she was involved with the Ladies Aide Society. Lois loved her many types of crafts made with mink pelts, such as ornaments, centerpieces, teddy bears, coin purses, and key chains. She also enjoyed sewing, playing cards, baking, and making meals to share with family and friends. Lois is survived by: two daughters, Bev (Larry) Sohre of Cedar Grove and Sue (Ron) Daane of Oostburg; four grandchildren, Joel (Jen) Sohre, Jeremy (Ruth) Sohre, Dawn (Matt) Faust, Jeff (Leah) Daane; 10 grandchildren, Kaelyn and Kendall Sohre, Macey and Gabrielle Faust, Connor and Carson Sohre, Olivia, Brynn, Lucas, and Carter Daane; two sisters, Jerry (Floyd) Ten Pas of Oostburg and Joan Lammers of Oostburg; one brother, Delbert Randall (Eleanor) Huenink of Cedar Grove; one sister-in-law, Lois Meeusen of Cedar Grove; special friend, Ken Ten Haken of Cedar Grove; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her: parents; husband Roger; two brothers, LeRoy (Helen) Huenink and Arvin (Marion) Huenink; one sister, Ethel (LeRoy) De Smith; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Elsie) Meeusen, Lester (Muriel) Meeusen, Wesley Meeusen, and Phil Lammers; one sister-in-law, Alma (Alvin) Prinsen. . Funeral services to celebrate Lois's life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Interment will be Cedar Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet Lois's family from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday (TONIGHT) at First Reformed Church and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established in Lois's name.
