Lloyd TenDolle

Lloyd H. TenDolle, 87, of Oostburg, went home to his Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Lloyd was born on October 30, 1927, in the Town of Lima, the son of the late John Sr. and Grace (VanderWeele) TenDolle. Lloyd graduated from Oostburg High School in 1945 and then served in the US Army in Korea from 1951-53. On October 6, 1950 he married Harriet VanderWeele in Sheboygan. Lloyd was a dairy farmer in the Town of Lima for most of his life. He also drove school bus for over 29 years. Lloyd was a lifelong member of Gibbsville Reformed Church where he served as deacon, elder and member of the Men's Brotherhood. He was also a member of the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau, Oostburg American Legion, Oostburg Kiwanis, and various bowling teams and card clubs. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, bird watching, traveling (every state except Alaska), camping, going out to eat with family and friends, and spending time with his family. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 64 years, Harriet; his three daughters, Mary (Jim) Heinen of Sheboygan Falls, Judy (Randy) TenHaken of Oostburg and Lori (Jamie) Martin of Sheboygan; two sons, David (Linda) TenDolle of Oostburg and Robert (Debbie) TenDolle of Sheboygan Falls; ten grandchildren, Ben (Debbie), Brad, and Greg Heinen, Gina (Christopher) Horvat and Jeremy Linn, Abbey, Hannah, and Lucas Martin, Matthew and Jeffrey TenDolle,; two great grandchildren; three step grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Mesun, Jonathan (Gina) Hernandez and Angela Groh; eight step great grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Dulmes of Oostburg; two brothers, John (Margery) TenDolle of Oostburg and Glenn (Annette) TenDolle of Cedar Grove; and four sisters-in-law, Edith TenDolle of Sheboygan Falls, Jeanette Kenbeak of Michigan, Alyce Fuller of Minnesota, and Louise (Calvin) Walvort of Waupun. Lloyd is further survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Carl TenDolle; and one brother-in-law, Jim Dulmes. Funeral services to celebrate Lloyd's life will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Gibbsville Reformed Church with Rev. John Ornee officiating. Burial and Military Honors will take place at Gibbsville Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday from 4-8 pm, and at church, on Tuesday from 9:30 until the time of the service at 10:30. A family service will take place at 10:15 in the choir room. A memorial fund has been established in Lloyd's name for Gibbsville Reformed Church.
