Lloyd C. Nysse, 87, of Oostburg, passed away on Monday evening, September 29, 2014, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Lloyd was born on January 7, 1927, in Sheboygan, son of Anton and Anna (Scholten) Nysse. He attended Franklin School in Sheboygan and Southside School in Cedar Grove. Lloyd served in the US Navy during WW II from 1944-1946. On January 25, 1947, he married Ruth M. Grams at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Ruth passed away on June 24, 2014. He was co-owner of the Belgium Foundry. Lloyd was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg. He served as deacon and trustee at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove. Lloyd enjoyed dancing, was a member of the I Love to Dance Club, enjoyed polka music, fishing, and hunting. Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Jane (Robert) Runkel of Cedar Grove; his daughter-in-law, Kay Nysse, of California; four grandchildren, Tammy (Pat) Smith of Belgium, Kelley (Erika) Tatroe of Shiocton, Ben (Kristin) Nysse, and Alicia Nysse, both of California; four great-grandchildren, Brittany and Jessica Smith, and Aubrey and Hannah Nysse; and one brother, Anton Nysse of Conover, WI. Lloyd is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ruth, his son Lloyd Nysse Jr., two sisters, Leona Hulbert and Virginia (Russ) Meyer, and one brother, Ervin Nysse. Funeral services to celebrate Lloyd's life will be held at 11am on Friday, October 3, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg with Rev. Brian Jacobson officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 4-7pm and again Friday at church from 10am until the time of service at 11am. A memorial fund has been established in Lloyd's name. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to St. Nicholas Hospice, Sharon S.
