Leone Haussman

Leone J. Haussman, 90, of Oostburg, formerly of Oak Creek, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Leone was born on September 25, 1919 in Milwaukee, daughter of Oluf and Josephine (Gleissner) Olsen. She was a 1937 graduate of South Milwaukee High School. On October 14, 1939 she married Russell Haussman, Sr. in Milwaukee. Russell preceded her in death on February 14, 2000. Leone resided in Oak Creek for 68 years. Leone is survived by two daughters, Josephine Gartman of Oconomowoc and Holly (Larry Strojny) Haussman of Oostburg; one son, Harley Haussman of Bryan, TX; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Shawn) Rummell, Laurie (Bruce) Henning and Robin Stocker; five great-grandchildren, Brianne, Ethan and Skylar Stocker and Alex and Eliana Henning. Leone was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell, one son Russell, Jr., two brothers, Earl and Harley Olsen and one grandson, Sam Haussman. A celebration of Leone's life will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Leone's name.
