Leland M. Laack, 82, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Pine Haven Prairie Crossing in Sheboygan Falls. Leland was born on January 17, 1933, in Sheboygan, son of Leland Paul and Katherine (Grooms) Laack. He was a graduate of Carroll College in 1955 and the McCormick Seminary in Chicago in 1959. On December 27, 1959, he married Nancy Coswell in South Bend, IN. Leland was a Presbyterian Minister and Youth Minister until his retirement in 2001. Leland was the Executive Pastor in Albert Lea, MN, Sioux Falls, SD, and Ft. Myers, FL and the Associate Pastor in the Presbyteries of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Shepherds Lapsley, Alabama. He was the Interim Pastor in Alexander City, AL, Talladega, AL, and Alabaster, AL. Leland was a member of the Manitowoc Civil War Round Table and was active in theater in high school, college, and his adult life. He enjoyed directing and watching plays, stamp collecting, needlepoint, and collecting Christmas crèches. Leland also enjoyed genealogy, collecting 2,300 names in his family history, and hosting Bible studies after he retired from the ministry. He enjoyed studying history and walking through cemeteries. Leland is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy; his daughter, Allison (Kyle) Robar of Newport Beach, CA; his son, Troy (Julia) Laack of Waukesha; five grandchildren, Kenna, Ava, Keaton, Spencer and Stephen; and two step-grandchildren, Shane and Sean. Leland is further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Todd Laack, one infant brother and infant sister. A memorial service to celebrate Leland's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan with Rev. Dr. Richard C. Manny officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery on Monday, April 20, 2015, at 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, April 17, 2015, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
