Lawrence Bosman

Lawrence "Larry" Bosman, 85 of the Town of Sheboygan Falls died peacefully on Saturday night, July 6, 2013. Larry was born on September 26, 1927 in the Town of Baldwin, the son of Willis John and Jessie (Veenendaal) Bosman. He attended Dye Road School in the Town of Lima. Larry served in the US Army during 1946. Larry married Marian Lukens on March 12, 1948 in Gibbsville. Marian preceded Larry in death following 63 years of marriage on August 27, 2011. He was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. Larry was a member of the Gibbsville Reformed Church and enjoyed farming, dartball, sheepshead, and gardening. He is survived by six foster children, Steven (Joan) Rejholec of Sheboygan Falls, Rose Burke of Sheboygan, Linda Grunow of St. Nazianz, Kathy (Frank) Weisfeld of Plymouth, David Schnitzer of Sheboygan and Louise Gonering of Sheboygan; numerous foster grandchildren including Scott Rejholec and Tanya (Mike) Frier and foster great-grandchildren including Evelyn and Mikey Frier; three sisters-in-law, Ann Bosman of Sheboygan Falls, Arlene Robinson, and Margaret (Ronald) Hesselink, both of Oostburg; one brother-in-law, Richard "Chip" Lemkuil of Oostburg; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Marian; two sisters, Rachel (Arnold) Huebschman and Dorothy (Walter) Traas; three brothers, Myron (Beatrice) Bosman, Raymond Bosman and Audley Bosman; one sister-in-law, Lenore Lemkuil, one brother-in-law, Oscar Robinson. Funeral services to celebrate Larry's life will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Gibbsville Reformed Church with Grant Mulder officiating. A family service will be held at 10:15 am in the choir room. Burial will take place in Gibbsville Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 4-6 pm and also on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service at 10:30 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Larry's name for the Gibbsville Reformed Church. Special thanks are extended to Larry and Marian's neighbors and friends who helped them in so many ways throughout the years.
