LaVerne Lillian (Slesrick) Miller, 96, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully at the Sheboygan Senior Center on Thursday evening, October 16, 2014. Laverne was born on October 5th, 1918 to the late Paul and Rose (Koene) Slesrick, in Sheboygan Falls. Laverne was a 1936 graduate of the Sheboygan Falls High School and in 1944 she married Roscoe B. Miller in Anaheim, California. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was also a member of various card clubs. She is survived by one brother, Roman (Delores) Slesrick of Sheboygan Falls and two sons, John Miller of Nebraska and Mark (Betty) Miller of Winfield, B.C. Canada. She had four grandchildren; Tracy, Tonya, Brenda (Rick) Brecke and Todd (Jennifer) Miller and numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roscoe on May 28th, 1981; and one brother, Herbert Slesrick, who died in October 1944, MIA, over Burma during WWll. A Memorial Mass will take place in the spring at the Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls, and she will rest at the St. Mary Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. The date and time of the Mass will be announced in the spring. Memorials are appreciated to the Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls.
