LaVerna W. Prinsen, 91, of Cedar Grove, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Sunny Ridge Health Care and Rehab Center in Sheboygan. LaVerna was born January 21, 1921 in Cedar Grove to G. William and Jozina (Van Driest) Prinsen. She attended Amsterdam grade school. LaVerna worked for Musebeck Shoe Company for many years. LaVerna was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove where she was involved with the flower committee. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, ceramics, traveling, reading, and writing letters. LaVerna is survived by: one sister, Marilyn Prinsen of Cedar Grove; other relatives and friends. LaVerna was preceded in death by her: parents; one brother, Wesley; one infant sister. Funeral services to celebrate LaVerna's life will be at 10:30 am on Friday, August 3, 2012, at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of the service Friday at the church. A memorial fund has been established in LaVerna's name for First Reformed Church.
