Laverna Marie Arndt

Laverna Marie Arndt, 75, of Oostburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in Tucson Estates, Arizona.

Laverna was born on July 20, 1948, to Gerald and Gertrude (Young) Dennis. On July 2, 1966, she was united in marriage to Dale Arndt in Newfoundland, Canada. 

Laverna enjoyed playing dartball, golf, bingo and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. She loved her winters in Arizona for the past 11 years. Laverna enjoyed going to casinos and recently enjoyed doing stained glass and ceramics. More than anything, she loved spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

Laverna is survived by her daughters, Madonna (Lon) Schneider of Cascade, Rhonda (Rick) Eggebeen of Oostburg; one son, Scott (Kim) Arndt of Hingham; eleven grandchildren, Dylan (special friend Amanda) McGaw, Carmen (Rob) Puckett, Ashlie (Kellen) McCormack, Michelle (Josh) Meyer, Ross (Ariel) Eggebeen, Ashley (James) Rambousek, Joshua (Aimee) Frier, Carly (Alex) Tislau, Kaden, Reese and Logan Arndt; fourteen great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Charlie (Suzanna), Gerald Jr., Dan, Larry, Alphonsus (Veronica), Betty (Red), Joan; siblings-in-law, Ellen, Wendy; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Laverna is preceded in death by her husband, Dale; parents; siblings: John, Myron, Frank, Joseph, Laura, and Phyllis.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 12:00pm. A livestream of the funeral can be found by visiting Laverna’s obituary page on www.wenigfh.com. Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Light.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm.
