Lauri Wilterdink

Lauri J. Wilterdink, 45, of N3396 County Road I, Sheboygan Falls (Town of Lima) died unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2008 at the St. Nicholas Hospital Emergency Room. Lauri was born on October 11, 1962 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Carl Nyenhuis and the late Nelda (Debbink) Nyenhuis. She graduated from Oostburg High School in 1981. Lauri married David M. Wilterdink on November 1, 1986 in Gibbsville. Lauri and her family own and operate a dairy farm in the Town of Lima. She also worked at the Hingham Post Office as postmaster relief for the past five years. Lauri was a member at Gibbsville Reformed Church, the Sheboygan County Dairy Promotions Board of Directors, Sheboygan County Farm Bureau, and was a 4-H leader. She enjoyed raising chickens and life on the farm, relaxing on her deck, driving her Dodge truck, reading, the computer, playing card games with her family, and drawing house plans. Lauri is survived by her husband, David; two daughters, Aimee (fiancé Pat Moehring) of the Town of Lima, Donna Wilterdink, at home; three sons, Garret Wilterdink of Adell, Noah, and Eli Wilterdink, at home; her father, Carl Nyenhuis of Gibbsville; one sister, Deb (Rich) Uttech of Sheboygan; one brother, Gene Nyenhuis of Gibbsville; mother-in-law, Dorothy Wilterdink of Pine Haven; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Lauri was preceded in death by her mother, Nelda Nyenhuis; an infant brother, Bradley Nyenhuis; and her father-in-law, Marvin Wilterdink. Funeral services will be held at the Gibbsville Reformed Church at 1 pm on Thursday, July 17, 2008 with Rick Ten Dolle officiating. A family service will take place at 12:45 pm in the choir room. Burial will follow at Hingham Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Wednesday from 3-8 pm and on Thursday, at church, from noon until the time of the service at 1 pm.
