Laura Murphy

Laura C. Murphy, 74, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Laura was born on January 6, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN.  She graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the Class of 1966.  After high school, Laura attended Lakeshore Technical College to obtain her LPN license.

Besides long-time partner, Denis Maloney, Laura is survived by her four children:  Michael (Cynthia) Murphy; Daniel (Kristin) Murphy; Shane (Deb) Murphy; Shelly Murphy; Shawn (Keri) Maloney; and Toni Maloney.  She is further survived by five grandchildren:  Kelsey (Jake) Frericks, Kassidy Murphy, Artie Murphy, Khloe Murphy, and Anniston Murphy, and one great-grandson, Carson Frericks.  Laura will also be remembered by her sisters, LeAnn Sutton, Lynn (Jim) Richter, and Lana Theobald and fiancé, Jim Butler, along with many nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Aldine and Richard Moehring, and Lawrence and Joyce Peterson; her brother-in-law, Bob Sutton; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Theobald; granddaughter, Amber Palubicki; great-nephews, Robby Sutton, and Tyryn Theobald; and in-laws, Denis and Mercedes Maloney.

A private family service will be held.  There will be no public visitation per Laura’s wishes.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Laura’s name.

Laura’s family would like to thank the healthcare workers who supported her and tended to her during her final hospital stay.
