Larry TeRonde

Larry E. TeRonde, 73, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. Larry was born on May 29, 1942, in Sheboygan, son of Ellsworth and Annette (Lohuis) TeRonde. He was a 1960 graduate of Cedar Grove High School and attended Layton School of Art. Larry served in the US National Guard. On February 10, 1973 he married Linda Schultz (Grau) in Northbrook, IL. Larry was employed as a landscape designer with Home Depot until his retirement in 2010. Larry was a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove. Larry possessed a love for his family, a strong sense of caring for others, a deep and abiding faith and love for God, and a love for gardening and creative landscape. Larry is survived by his wife, Linda; his two daughters, Diane (Timothy) Wiltse of Gaylord, MI and Michelle (fiance' Ronnie Goossens) TeRonde of Round Lake Beach, IL; his two sons, Vincent (fiancé Jenny Costello) TeRonde of Wauconda, IL and Lawrence (friend Agnes Fleming) TeRonde of Lake Zurich, IL; eight grandchildren, Zackary, Danielle, Shannon, Leanne, Kaela, Mason, Hunter and Dawson; one great grandchild, Trent; one sister, Judy Bruggink of Oostburg; and one brother, Allan (Marilyn) TeRonde of Northbrook, IL. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Donna TeRonde; and brother-in-law, James Bruggink. A memorial service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 11 am on Saturday, April 16, 2016 with the Rev. Justin Sembler officiating. Burial will take place at the Presbyterian Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.. A memorial fund has been established in Larry's name at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove and Pine Haven Christian Communities.
