Kenneth Popp

Kenneth M. Popp, 85, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday evening, March 12, 2015, at Sunny Ridge Health Care Center in Sheboygan. Kenneth was born on March 20, 1929, in Calumet County, son of Raymond and Mabel (Bunge) Popp. On December 7, 1946, he married Marjorie Dulmes in Iowa. Marjorie passed away on January 26, 2015. Kenneth was employed with Village of Kohler Public Works Dept. for 25 years until his retirement in 1992. Kenneth was a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Sheboygan. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Sheboygan Falls. Kenneth enjoyed sheepshead, gardening, wildlife, tinkering and fix-it projects, hunting, and polka and old country music. Kenneth is survived by his three sons, David (friend Virginia Fuchs) Popp of Phillips, Daniel (Cindy) Popp of Sheboygan Falls, and Brian (Kevin Williams) Popp of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Phil) Markgraf, Nicole (Jesse) Burt, Jason (Becky) Popp, Timothy (Katie) Popp, Tiffany Mueller, and Dane Schmidt; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan (Jerry) Justinger of Sheboygan Falls and Betty (Joe) Bessette of Sheboygan; and two sisters-in-law Doris (Alan) Smith of Stafford, Virginia and Mary Dulmes of Oostburg. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie, his parents; two daughters-in-law, Jane Popp and Robin Duenk; and one sister, Delores (Harris) Klemme. A memorial service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Bethany Reformed Church with Rev. Philip Rose officiating. Inurnment will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:30 am until the time of the service at noon. A memorial fund has been established in Kenneth's name for the Alzheimer's Foundation.
