Karen (Koepke-Wallner) Amann, 65, formerly of Sheboygan Falls died on Saturday morning, November 10, 2007 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center where she had resided for the past two years following a lengthy illness. Karen was born on January 13, 1942 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Fred and Viola Koepke. She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School. Karen married Joseph Wallner Jr, and later married Lowell Amann on August 6, 1983 in Sheboygan. Lowell preceded Karen in death on August 25, 2000. Karen was a housekeeping supervisor at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan and previously worked as a custodian for the Quality Cleaning and the Kohler Co. Karen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, painting, knitting, telling jokes, and going to rummage sales and crafts sales. Karen had a special love for cats and llamas. She is survived by one daughter, Jodene (David) Armstrong of Kenosha; two sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Wallner and Lonny (Carole) Wallner, both of Sheboygan Falls; four grandchildren, Joel and Jared Wallner, and Trevor and Robyn Wallner; four step grandchildren, Kristen Miller, Kylie Wagner-Grobman, Nathan and Natalie Sommer; a step great granddaughter, Hope Miller; two step daughters, Diane (Lon) Wallinger of Pennsylvania and Patti (John Behrman) Amann of Mishicot; and two step sons, David Amann of Mishicot and Michael (Chris) Amann of Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev Tom Gudmundson officiating. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday from 4 pm until the time of service. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Rocky Knoll, Meadowview Manor, and the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for the dedicated and loving care given to Karen and their family. The staff of the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls (920-467-3431) is serving the Amann family.
