June Phippen

June D. (Behr) Kaat, 81, of Plymouth, died on Friday night, August 3, 2012 at St. Nicholas Hospital following complications from a stroke. June was born on June 10, 1931 in Armstrong, in Fond du Lac County, the daughter of the late Henry and Marion (Scott) Phippen. She attended Plymouth High School. On December 11, 1948 she married the late Robert Behr in Plymouth. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1989. On July 16, 1997 she married Edward Kaat in Hingham. June was a devoted homemaker and worked as a Resident Assistant at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls from 1993-97. June was a member of the Hingham Reformed Church and enjoyed June is survived by her husband, Edward of Plymouth; six daughters, Sharon (Joe) Schneider of Sheboygan Falls, Bonnie (Dennis) Theune of Crandon, Kathy (Rick) Arnold of Milwaukee, Lori (Brian) Basler, Donna (Steve) Ottman of Sheboygan Falls, Christine (Robert) Lemkuil of Plymouth; 14 grandchildren; great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Andrews of Plymouth; three brothers, Richard (Wendy) Phippen of , Robert Phippen of Plymouth, and William (Doris) Phippen of South Carolina; one step daughter, Ruth Ann Schreurs of Oostburg; one step daughter-in-law, Donna Kaat of Hingham; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Behr; one brother, Phippen, and a step son, Jim Kaat. A funeral to celebrate June's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at with the Rev. Steven J. Bakker officiating.
