June Claerbaut

June M. Claerbaut, 91, formerly of Oostburg, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls where she resided for the last 10 years. June was born June 1, 1919 in the Town of Neva in Langlade, CO to William and Johanna (De Bruine) Huenink. She was a 1937 graduate from Wisconsin Memorial Academy in Cedar Grove. On May 29, 1941 she married Melvin P. Claerbaut in Cedar Grove. Melvin passed away on December 5, 2003. June was a member of Bethel OPC in Oostburg where she was involved with the ladies society and choir. June worked briefly for Musebeck Shoe Factory and together with Melvin they farmed for 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, music, gardening, canning, and spending time with her family. June is survived by: one daughter, Nancy (Wayne) Navis of Cedar Grove; one son, Allan (Sharon) Claerbaut of Cedar Grove; nine grandchildren, Greg (Holly), Mark (Mary), Ryan (Cindy) Navis, Kari (Rob) Navis Fish, Kathleen (Greg) Anzia, Steve (Bonnie), David (Mary), John (Christy), and Tom (Dorothy) Claerbaut; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Lauretta Huenink of Waukesha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her: parents; husband, Melvin; one great-grandson, Sean Anzia: three brothers, Myrle, Kenneth (Ramone), and Harold (Jean) Huenink; one sister, Pearl (Lester) Nyenhuis; one brother-in-law, Roland (Marion) Claerbaut; one infant sister. Funeral services for June will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Bethel OPC in Oostburg with Rev. John Tinsley officiating. Interment will be in Oostburg Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. A memorial fund has been established in June's name for Pine Haven Christian Home.
