Julie Barthels

Julie A. Barthels, 57, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Julie was born on May 20, 1954 in Sheboygan, daughter of Alfred and Ione (Lorge) Brown. She was a 1972 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. Julie married Richard Kowalis in Sheboygan Falls. Julie was a member of Falls Community Church. She enjoyed fishing, watching movies, listening to music, and singing. Julie was an avid sports fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers. Julie is survived by her husband, Richard Kowalis; one sister, Susan (Frank) Cooper of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Phillip (Linda) Brown of Wheaton, IL; one niece, Kimberly Burns; three nephews, Michael (Kim) Brown, Phillip (Gail) Brown, and Timothy (Shari) Campbell. Julie is also survived by other relatives and friends. Julie was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery at a later date.
