Judith Stalter

Judith E. Stalter, 66, of Oostburg died unexpectedly on Monday night, March 12, 2018 at her home.Judy was born on December 31, 1951 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Henry and Lucile (Rauwerdink) Back. She was a 1970 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School and then attended Lakeshore Technical Institute where she earned an Associate Degree as a Medical Assistant.  On April 21, 1973 she married William H. Stalter in Gibbsville. Judy worked as a medical assistant with the Sheboygan County Public Health Dept. in the WIC office for over 35 years before her retirement in 2015.Judy was a longtime member of Bethany Reformed Church in Sheboygan where she was active in the choir, bell choir and a frequent vocalist. She was a member of the Sheboygan Theatre Co.She enjoyed singing, music, theatre, puzzles, travel, reading, cooking and baking.Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years, William H. "Bill" Stalter of Oostburg; two sons, Michael Stalter of Saukville and Patrick Stalter of Sheboygan; one sister, Beverly Ramaker of Virginia; her father-in-law, William Stalter Sr. of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters-in-law, Jan Martens of Oostburg and Sandy Garrigan of California; nieces and nephews.Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, David Ramaker.A funeral to celebrate Judy's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 1 pm. Burial will take place at the Gibbsville Cemetery in the Town of Lima.Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday from 4-8 pm and again on Friday from noon until the time of the service at 1 pm.For online condolences and additional information please visit www.wenigfh.com A memorial fund is being established in her memory for the Sheboygan Theatre Co.The staff of the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg is serving the Stalter family.
