Judith Ann O'Keefe, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at Pine Haven Christian Homes- Haven Drive Campus. Judy was born on October 27, 1943, in Sheboygan, to Howard and Edna (Rudy) Canisius. She was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School excelling in music. She had a love for music achieving head concertmistress of the orchestra as a violinist and sharing her piano talents with St. Andrew Lutheran Church, which she had been a member. On February 23, 1963, Judy married Thomas O'Keefe in Sheboygan. In addition to caring for her two children, Judy cared for her husband until his passing after an unexpected accident left him a paraplegic for 33 years. She then pursued a career as a CNA, starting at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home and retiring from Pine Haven Christian Communities. She had a special caring heart for so many people. Judy enjoyed antiquing, collecting memorabilia, decorating for the holidays, trips to Door County, caring for her animals, and of course being an AVON lady for 25+ years. Judy is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Jeff Kreidler) O'Keefe of Sheboygan; son, Tom O'Keefe, Jr.(fiancée Stacy Scheibl) of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Joseph Hicks, Jr., Nicholas (Holly) Kalkopf; a sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Tom Bailey of Sheboygan; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Isabella, Jaden and Linkin; special niece and nephews, Laurie (Shawn) Szechy; Mike Bailey (special friend Andrea Hartwig), and Eric (Leigh Anne) Bailey. Judy was also extremely blessed to have very special neighbors Penny and Murray Patz. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Edna Canisius; and a loving husband, Thomas James O'Keefe, Sr. A private family burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
