Joyce Morgan

Joyce H. Morgan, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was 80 years old.

Joyce was born April 27, 1942 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Henry and Ottilia (Krause) Geltemeyer. She grew up in Sheboygan Falls, graduating in 1960. On September 22, 1962, she was united in marriage with Leo Morgan at St. George Catholic Church. The two celebrated 60 years of marriage together last year.

For 29 years, Joyce was a familiar, friendly face at Evans in Sheboygan Falls. She later worked at Acuity Insurance for a brief time.

Joyce was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls where she had been a member of the Altar Guild and the Quilting group. She also loved participating in other Quilting Groups, and had been a proud member of the Donut Dunkers bowling league at Sopetto Lanes. An avid crafter, Joyce enjoyed creating needlepoint, cross stitch, ceramics and macrame. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and watching westerns. She had a warm smile, a loving heart and a sweet tooth. She was kind and friendly to everyone she met, and made time for them.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leo and their children: Robert (Connie) Morgan of Sheboygan, Carrie Seehaver of Plymouth and Randy (Debby) Morgan of Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by grandchildren: Paul (Jackie) Novak, Alyssa Morgan, Eric Morgan and Matthew Morgan; great-grandchildren Thomas and Parker Novak; brother Gene “Spike” Geltemeyer of Sheboygan Falls, sister-in-law Betty Meyer of Sheboygan Falls; brother-in-law Aaron (Shirley) Mertes of Sheboygan; sisters-in-law Agnes Morgan of Port Washington, Carleen Morgan of Plymouth and Susie Morgan of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son-in-law David Seehaver, sisters-in-law: Lois Geltemeyer, Shirley Mertes, Kathryn (Leo) Schleicher and brothers-in-law: Lloyd, Neil and Jim Morgan.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 a St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Pastor Rob Schrader will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 12:00-3:00PM. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
