John Nagel

John H. Nagel, 92, of Plymouth and formerly of Sheboygan, was called home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the Sheboygan Senior Community.John was born on January 3, 1925, in Sheboygan, son of Arthur and Nelda (Fischer) Nagel.  He was a 1943 graduate of Sheboygan North High School.  On June 14, 1947, he married Beulah "Bee" Seeger at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.  Bee passed away on January 2, 2007.  John was employed in customer service at Vollrath Company for 43 years until his retirement in 1990.John was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and formerly of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where he was in various church choirs, a Sunday school teacher, and Bible classes. John enjoyed music, golf, playing the violin, camping, the outdoors, horses and farming, and traveling.John was survived by his two daughters, Jayne Akright of Sheboygan Falls and Karen (Bruce) Steiner of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Andy (Nicky) Akright, Sara Akright, and Tim and Tammy Steiner; and four great-grandchildren, Alex, Drew, Grace, and Emily.John was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bee, his parents, and son-in-law, Tony Akright.Funeral services to celebrate John's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating.  Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30pm until the time of the service at 1:30 pm.A memorial fund has been established in John's name for St. Paul Lutheran Church.For online condolences and additional information please visit www.wenigfh.com The staff of the Wenig Funeral Home of Sheboygan Falls (920-467-3431) is assisting John's family with arrangements.
